How are you doing? I am doing great. It has been a really successful week... I guess i'll start off by telling you about it. Angelo is doing good. He is such a sweet guy. He is really dedicated to being baptized on the 15th... this sunday. He is really happy right now too. We have gone through a ton with him... He has been a really hard one to convert, but he is getting there. I will try and take a pic with him this week and send it to you next week... He's a sweet guy- anyway- he is doing well... We had so much success this week. We actually set 10 other dates with people to be baptized for the 22nd of March. We are pretty excited. We have a lot of really sweet people we are working with. I wanted to share a little bit about some really funny people we met this week.. Not the baptismal dates, but other people... Yesterday morning, we were driving and having a member follow us to pick up our investigators and we came to a stop light where there was a guy at the corner and we rolled down our window and asked him if he wanted to join us for church. He said "Yeah." So we told him to get in the car behind us. NOw he is a new investigator. It was soooo funny. Now every now and then we will both just bust up laughing because of Doug- the guy that came to church. So funny. We set up an appointment with a homeless man this week. He wanted to change his life, so he told us to meet him at the corner of Edgewood and Commonwealth. We did, and he never showed up... I thought it was funny to make an appointment with a homeless man- since he wasn't there, we left him a sticky note on the bench at the bus stop. It has been there for 2 days... haha... we laugh everytime we drive by. We also are teaching another Isaiah. We also think he is homeless... He is so cool though and wants a book of mormon so bad. He came to church yesterday. We met him on the sidewalk to pick him up. He is so sweet- but i will let ya know what happens with him. We met this guy the other day... He was so funny cause he was walking down the street holding onto his pants- if he would have let go, they would have fallen off completely. they were like 10 times too big...but anyway- we thought he looked cool, so we pulled over and asked him if he needed a belt. And he looked at us so serious and was like "yes, i do." And it was sad, but we tried to teach him and realized that he was crazy- it was really funny cause he told us he was walking to Krystal (a nasty fastfood restaurant) and he asked for a ride- since we cant give him a ride, i told him we would go get the food for him and bring it to him... Then he was like- well, do you have some money? hahaha... Anyway- he was so thankful- he didn't understand the gospel cause he was mentally handicapped. wow... we had some crazy things happen this week. i wanted to tell you of all the funny things- that isn't even the start of it... I guess needless to say, Our lucky penny brought forth very good luck and is still at this time taped to our dash. So- I wanted to tell you about this sweet conversion story that the sisters we live with had with their recent convert. She is from Haiti. She is so sweet. About 3 years ago, she met some elders in Haiti and they gave her a passalong card, but she never did anything with it- well... about a month ago, she had a dream that she needed to find the mormons and be baptized into the church of Jesus Christ. Well... she woke up and started looking through the phonebook for mormons- but found nothing. So she remembered 3 hours later that she had a passalong card- she finally found it and called the number on it- but the elders number was disconnected. so she called the 1800 number and got in touch with some missionaries in the MTC- (media referral center) and from there got in touch with the missionaries here in florida and got baptized yesterday. it was such an amazing spirit there. She stood in the water after coming up and just cried and said thank you.. thank you.. .thank you. After she got dressed, she came in with tears and said "This was my dream. I know that this is where i am suppose to be." It was a really cool experience and im glad that i got to somewhat be a part of it. pretty cool... thought i'd share. I don't think i will be transferred cause my comp and i are doing really well in this area. We had pres. Interviews this past week and i dont think he is planning on taking us out yet. He got a big smile on his face when i told him that we get along great. So, since we are both really happy, he is really happy... so yeah. I dont think either of us are going anywhere, but i guess we'll see. I really really don't want to be going anywhere. I love this area. I want to spend the rest of my mission here. Have a great week!
Love,
Sister Roach
